glittering sand
I was walking in the sand, when I spotted a piece of driftwood. It shone in the glittery sand like a piece of silver. I was so entranced by it that, I couldn't take my eyes off it. It seemed to call my name. Whispering in the gentle breeze, "come to me". "Come closer". Blindly I followed the sound. As I came upon the log the glitter grew brighter, like diamonds sparkling in the sea. I was hypnotized. Nothing could make me leave my destination. I couldn't breathe it was breath taking. What was it? What was it about this driftwood that was so different from all the others? Why could I not take my eyes off of it? Finally I was upon it. But there was no driftwood. There was no shiny glow. It was just the sun reflecting its beauty on a lonely piece of glass.
