Take My Phrase: the road to winter
dirt road
footsteps echo
not wanting to hear
headphones cover
classical anthems
melodic distraction

snow fallen
days ago
autumn ending
walking toward
clouds of winter

no jacket
wanting to feel
cold air
snowflakes start
toward the ground
unnoticed

depression
pulls against
this road
always available
just walk
ponder
feel pain
accepting

each night
walking
the road
to winter
