As we move from winter into spring . . .
Spring comes softly, silently, unseen.
Her touch is subtle, softly serene.
She warms the earth and brightens the sky,
Lifting the hearts of those passing by.

New grasses peek from under the soil.
Lilacs in lavender beauty toil.
Blue skies lighten the weariest heart.
Bees fill the air and butterflies dart.

A wobbly colt at his mother's side,
Eyes bright with wonder, open so wide.
Soon, fuzzy kittens come out to play,
Running and leaping through each spring day.

Crocus and daffodils lift their small heads,
Seeking the sunshine for warming their beds,
Growing and reaching, doing their thing,
Reaping rewards that beauty can bring.
