an unfortunate side of inhumanity
Another mother's child
chosen again at random
for an informal audition
appears to have landed
her first starring role
another children's story
about someone elses child
only thing thats different
in this one,
is the final scene
and its about to unfold

As we watch,
we realize this scene
we're watching
keeps on repeating ,
over and over,
so much
we imagine we can hear
those unheard cries
and misdirected echoes
as they withered and died

Her once fragile body
found badly beaten
and bruised,
sadly discarded,
like unwanted garbage,
spread in a field nearby,
amongst it,
her empty Sunday School attire,
now addorned with brain matter bits
tailored by the bloodstained hands of another mindless madman

just like others before this misfortunate miss
she will be mournfully missed,
as another mother's child begins her cries
