a poem about Morgana la Fay
My mind is darkness and lies
Around me, everybody dies
I’m an enchantress of old
And such has made me bold.

First Arthur tried to love me,
I betrayed his life so briefly.
I know the way to a man’s heart
And I know just how to rip it apart.

No match for me was Guinevere,
For taking my love, she learned to fear.
Lancelot and she were torn apart,
Just as she broke my heart.

My magic spills forth evil
That some say spawned the devil.
My son Mordred takes after his father,
Whoever knew darkness could come from Arthur.

My lovers go to the Valley of No Return,
Where their love will forever burn.
But after my love, no one could compare.
Nobody could destroy cherished Guiomar fair.

Merlin has nothing on me,
My darkness has set me free.
No more must I listen to men’s lies,
No more must I watch as my love dies.

My name strikes fear into men’s minds,
“Morgana la Fay” will their souls bind.
My mind is darkness and lies.
And around me, everybody dies.
