Annoyed that the Significant Other was out having fun with others who weren't me.
Where poetry is concerned, I'm a real beginner. So feedback will really be useful and appreciated!

This was written when I was annoyed that the Significant Other was out having fun with others who weren't me, and I was an ogre because of that. Terribly wrong of me I know. All it does is make both parties unhappy. Wisdom learnt only much later.

Adding other poems to this due to space constrains.

I want you to fly, really I do.
Let admiring gazes fall and the world woo.
To flutter and fritter away,
Butterflies do that best don’t they.

I want you to taste every flower juice,
The sweet, the fun, the loose,
The queer, the peculiar,
Even the poisonous in-secular.

To land on every petal,
Roll your feet on tiny pollen gravel.
Morning Glory, Delightful Narcissus, Oh Rue!
Then awkwardly trampoline away on a gust, anew.

That is true beauty,
And true love surely
To share true beauty with who-
Ever, I have only true love for you.

Love so strong, it glues and ties
Love so vast, your wings are my skies
Love so tortured I cannot share why
To die is to try.

Tell me you salsa the breeze only for…
But no. A flowerful audience watches you soar.
And this pleases you, this I know,
An act I cannot endure or follow.

And so. Here you almost sit.
Eyes glistening glassily lit.
Almost real, always seen.
Pinned by love. Pinned green.

I’m sorry. I appear mean.
I mean; what I‘ve been.
To be the only force that can make you happy.
And now I have every stab of eternity.

Thus In this box you must stay, just you.
I cannot let vulgar others share, treasure you.
My admiration alone must satisfy you.
It should, it killed you.

PROMISE TRUST

A promise was needed
And yet I riled in vain.
Reluctantly said words,
Extracted and tamed.

You want the words said,
And so I do as you bade.
But beware this:
It's not something I miss.

A promise has value if trust can be contained,
Yet no promise is needed if trust is already retained.

A promise brings guilt to the fray;
"I said, she said" this is the game we play.
The promise births cunning foul play,
Scarcely able to ward foul deeds away.

My love, if you trust that I love you,
You know I will never stray.
If you can’t trust that I love you,
Never trust the words I say.
