THE RAT AND THE CAT


The little rat
Jumped on the cat
And twisted hard its tail.
It caused much pain.
Cat cried in vain
And the tail became pale.

And from that day,
Cat kept away
From the sight of the rat.
On his errands,
The rat told friends
That he had tamed the cat.
