I wrote about my son and how he looked for Trick-or-Treat.

Zombie

Oh, Halloween
I hate it so
But he’ll  soon still be a teen
And not get to go

In my heart
I’m not sure I agree
Of taking part
And holding the hand of a zombie

He has blood
Dripping from his ear
All covered with mud
His eyes filled with cheer

So Lord if it’s wrong
I’m sorry about the night
But I tried to be strong
But I didn’t want the fight

And Lord, you can see
all the smiles on their faces
You see they are so happy
From the trick-or-treat places
