This poem of suicide tells the story of perpetual grief.
The final moment; a concluding thought.
One last breath
as her index finger
simultaneously jerks.

Jaw clenching shut; nerves still twitching.
Her only daughter
watches in horror
as her body convulses.

Blood-stained dentures; unfinished game of solitaire.
No concluding explanation,
no final goodbye;
only perpetual heartache.

My Granny Grunt
