Shall we ever reunite?
As the rose bush in winter
Stands naked showing only its thorns,
So my heart lies hard and dormant
Awaiting, hoping, for love to be reborn.

As the acorn, fallen, lies waiting,
Half buried within the earth.
So waits my love, asleep, entombed,
Once alive now seeking rebirth.

As with these two of nature,
Within me dwells an emotion
So sweet and strong, beautiful and majestic,
Awaiting release upon our reunion.
