The many tears I shed in a love affair long ago.

Tears

I lay down at night and cry myself to sleep.
In the morning there is more tears to weep.
My eyes are red and burn hot like wild fire.
By rubbing away tears, caused by desires.

Maybe the future will bring her back to me.
But, only time and love can allow this to be.
I don't believe in miracles they're not for me.
If miracles are possible maybe I'd believe.

I deserve all that has came my way in life.
My failed love affair without you as my wife.
You truly did deserve a lot more from me.
A gentlemen and a good man do you see?

My sorrow I want more for your tomorrow.
I wish better days for you without sorrow.
I have forgiven you, all is fair in love or war.
Take my love with you, whether near or far.
