I have met many beautiful and blessed people in my life. How lucky am I?

Fiddler (by Frank Doherty)

You grace us again pure and true

Doing what only the angels can do

Touch our souls with your melody

Rhythm and harmony

Easing my troubles away

Heaven is near

Heaven is near when you play

Effortless music flows from your bow

Stirring the hearts of those who would know you

In some, the shame of their longing to

You chase all the shadows away

Heaven is near

Heaven is near when you play

And I hear the voices of generations

Echoes of angels long gone

Sharing their love and inspiration

So this magical music lives on

Eyes without fear or pride

A fire in your soul and your heart's open wide

Revealing a terrible beauty inside

You know that it's true when I say

Heaven is near

Heaven is near when you play

Gifted soul so warm and so bright

Like the stars in the heavens you light up the night

On your mystical music

Our spirits take flight

You drive all the darkness away

Heaven is near

Heaven is near when you play

And I hear the voices of generations

Echoes of angels long gone

Sharing their love and inspiration

So this magical music lives on

You grace us again pure and true

Doing what only the angels can do

Touch our souls with your melody

Rhythm and harmony

Easing my troubles away

Heaven is near

Heaven is near when you play
