Poem about a 8 year old boy with a monster under his bed. Another one for kicks.
At the age of eight I had a light
That kept the monster away
That kept the monster out of sight
He hated the light so under the bed he would stay

I would feel him move
I would feel him talk
He told me scary stories
Of those who he had stalked

My sister was the first one night she couldn't sleep
She heard me crying and asked why I weep
The monster is plotting I said in fear
Nonsense she said before peeking under there

Pulled under she was as I hid in shame
My sister screamed
As the monster pulled her to her new domain
I dared not wander from where I remain

My father was next I warned him so
Of what happened to my sister and that he should not go
But under the bed his head did peek
To see the monster before he to became a treat

My mother came in asking where my father went
Under the bed I said but please don't tempt
There is nothing she said while reaching her hand asunder
Then there was a muffled scream as the monster pulled her under

I find myself laying on the floor now
My three family members dead but I don't know how
There is a mirror in the corner and I look to see
The monster from under the bed staring back at me
