A poem about my cat's weather prediction skills.
WEATHER CAT

When most really need to know
What the weather’s going to be,
They get the info they need
By turning on their TV

If a big storm is coming,
I need not depend on that.
You see I have another source,
Mariah’s my weather cat.

The day before a big storm
Mariah is far from calm.
She flies throughout the house
Like she just heard a bomb.

She knocks over my house plants,
Then she skates across the floor.
She almost breaks a window
On her way to the front door.

But when a storm is forecast
And Mariah’s sound asleep,
I just go about my day
My plans and appointments I keep.
