About a boy leaving his childhood home
Over by Jake Heraty

The lost temptations

The reckless frustration

The hope I had

And true, the times in which I felt bad

It’s over, they say

It’s over, I claim

Lame I now feel of the countless ideas never put to action

Doubtful I had become

As I look back I see whom I was…

Not a fighter

Nor a lover

True, indeed I did many great things…

But hero, no, I was not

Never the less, it is time to move on

For when dawn stretches the morning skies tomorrow I shall be gone

It is now over, I shall be gone…
