A poem that refers to the bible and discusses good and evil.
Created by God, a tree of Good and Evil
and a tree of Life; together they stood.
Yet, in defiance, it was the tree of Good and Evil
that Adam and Eve considered its fruit to be good.

Immediately, from that moment on,
both good and evil did reside
in all mankind without exception.
Still, by His love He enabled some to confide.

He crafted some leaders to guide.
For the good of man, He established His law,
but the evil in man oft misapplied;
yet, the good in man desired God above all.

Then He sent His Son for all to know,
to have His law written upon our heart.
That with His mercy we would grow,
and from His grace we would never be apart.

The choice of good and evil still remains.
But if we believe, the Spirit of the Lord will be a guide,
giving us strength to attain or abstain,
as we walk in His light with His love vastly applied.
