I wrote this poem for my son that passed away a little over a year ago
Rock-a-Bye Bye Baby,
I once held you tight.
Adrift on soft clouds,
You rest in peace tonight.
On the tree tops,
I hear your sweet voice.
Whispering to me,
This was God’s choice.
Away the wind blows,
Time I wanted to keep.
Those moments I remember,
As I lay down to sleep.
Your cradle will rock,
To a melodic melody.
Singing sweet praise to God,
An Angelic Harmony.
When the bough breaks,
And all mans sins do fall,
God will come save,
Those who head his call.
So until that great day,
Or my death I cannot stall.
Down will come my Son,
Into welcoming arms he will fall!
