A short and simple poem with a surprise ending.
I have something so valuable;
I can't let it go.
I take it with me—
Everybody knows.

Though, in much regret
And with great shame,
I know it dearly,
Keeping it close.

It is mine;
No one else can say it's their's.
It is mine,
Only mine.

It follows me as I guide it—
It never stands still.
It keeps going and going,
And I keep thinking and thinking.

I have earned it,
A room full of time.
This life sentence,
Just me and my time.
