The Rookie


The little fan was hopelessly outclassed.  He could feel three dozen sets of eyes staring at his back; nothing could keep him from sweating.

Finally, a woman said, "Go left, then right; you'll be okay."

He waved his thanks and got them going.

"A rookie on this bus route," she muttered.  "What were they thinking?"
