just examing civilization's past and present similarities.
diasporas and desperados,
disproportioned defense mechanisms.
Still in the wilderness on the outskirts of Egypt.

Still trying to escape Genesis.
Tired of being concerned with man's beginnings.

Tired of past pharoahs' manipulations
being influential in the success of
modern capitalism.

Wisdom waiting patiently for
the wedding banquet of Jesus
crying in the wilderness because
it's convenient, good theater.

Where is America, It's leadership?
General sisters on general assistance,
lining up at the cathedral for breakfast,
lunch, dinner. There is wisdom.

Feeling the turn of last century
growing eerily similar to this one.
