A love poem about two turtles - a rhyming poem.
A pleasant turtle, snoring deep –
For eighteen hours, not a peep.
Seeking love that wasn’t cheap,
Among the reeds, he fell asleep…

A lady turtle happened by,
Who took a liking to this guy,
Thought that if he wasn’t shy,
A wedding knot, these two might tie!

She saw his sleep and decided,
If she woke him, she’d be chided;
By her instincts, ever guided –
Need for meeting, too one-sided...

Crossing paths weeks later,
The two found love forever greater –
The male turtle swore to cater
To her desires, ne'er berate her!

A heavenly fate, the second time,
The two romantics, so sublime;
These untimely meetings, not so prime –
But the strangest actions, ne'er a crime...
