Weirder ideas still flood my head, this one escaped. A poem about life and death via trees

This brain
Many ideas
Does it slay
Never does it
Lend me a break
It refuses to stop
Thinking
Imagining
Remembering and sharing
Rendering experiences
Expressing what most
Dare not understand
This shall be
A weirder example yet
Ideas of life
And certainties of death
Dare find their way
On this innocuous day
These words
Are of what I see
And of what my mind screams
Accept them if you wish
Deny them if you must
I care nothing of the end
Only the means
Warrants such concerns
Only purpose
Drives me harder
To the edge if need be
I am not afraid
How could I ever
All around is sound
All above is dark
All below is very cold
No light shines
Madness bleeds
Can all that is being seen
Can all that is being dreamed
Be as real as believed
Skeletons of trees
Stand in distant fields
Their shapes
The truth of their ways
Ring to life
Each detail screams through
All that they are is absolute
Like tired old men
Waiting for death
They sway
Not as stable on their feet
Their roots have grown weak
The ground
All around
Has begun to give way
Sooner or later
They will fall
Crashing down
Shattering around
Displacing those who remain
To live
To fight
Another way
An eternal slumber awaits
The distant trees
Made into old men by me
They will face a cold decay
From which they will never escape
To their plight
I can certainly relate
I see them
As most don't
As many refuse
Those "many" see the world
With brighter eyes
They don’t see death
They see only life
On earth or Heaven above
Their faith is strong
Mine is something else
In this wilderness
Of trees in distant fields
There is no wrong or right
There is no day or night
There are only ideas of life
And certainties of death
I wish there was more
But I am sure there is not…
