Red, white, and blue sparks
decorate the midnight sky;
it is the fourth of July.


What is freedom?
Is it tangible?
Can you hold in your hand,
like a copy
of the Declaration of Independence?
Is it editable,
like hotdogs and potato salad
at an Independence Day picnic?
What is Freedom?
