a poem about colors one might see in winter
The sun came up that day
with a light in its eye.
Its rays filtered through the air,
and it sparkled in the sky.

Colors bounced through the trees,
glistening white and pink,
as they leapt over the snowy mounds,
passing each with a wink.

The frost-covered branches glittered
as did the bench below,
and the sun's rays danced;
offering a delightful show.

The spectacle was quite good
as the rays ran their course,
going on their way
back to their real source.
