A short, but intense poem based off the idea that the enemy knows death is coming.

From a plane
High above
Here it comes
Death
Dismemberment
Obliteration
Disintegration
All the same
Shockwave central
I knew the risk
Easily I played the game
I fought the battle
I brought war to this place
Give em hell is my way
I’m not afraid
And if I was
No difference would be made
I cannot run
I cannot not hide
All I can do
Is stand here and die
Technology is on the enemy’s side
Precision like a surgeon’s blade
We are all warriors here
The choice has always been
Abundantly clear
Lay down our weapons and live
Hold on tight and die
I can see the jet
Banking left
Screaming away
Its deadly cargo escaped
Hurling down
Through time and space
Terminal velocity achieved
The force of impact alone
Would be enough to kill us all
But behind such force
Is an explosive punch
Designed to vaporize everyone
Certain to erase me
And my hate filled ways
Shockwave central
I knew the risk
I played the game
Now it’s my turn to lose
No point in hiding
No point in further trying
Boom!
