A new cologne doesn't work too well.
He was so hidebound he had to think twice,
whether or not he should stay with Old Spice.
It was cologne so in tune with his face,
but a new scent might just pick up the pace.

So it was his choice to go with New Wave;
he heard in Paris the people did rave.
There was a cavalcade at its debut;
many Monsieur said it made them feel new.

He splashed New Wave on his face right away,
but his desire was done for the day.
Though he was healthy and virile all right,
all New Wave did was just put out his light.

He held the bottle and looked at the back,
thinking the info might get him on track.
But he had nary a constructive thought,
why it would enervate him on the spot.

There in reflection was handsome facade,
but all the rest of him was feeling odd.
He grabbed the Secret and some Irish Spring,
for he was willing to try anything.

In his distress he reclined on the bed,
thinking how easily people are led.
Laughing that he was so tractable too,
he raised the window and out New Wave flew.

Old Spice again now caresses his cheek,
and he remains still laid back, so to speak.
New Wave’s new scent made him weak in the knee,
so he’s content for the scent of the sea.
