God above
Forgive me
God below
Forget me
In between
I reside
In between
Doing my time
Sentenced to life
Freedom may come
Upon death
Falls every release
Rises every defeat
Shelter
It is both raining
And burning hot
This sky is blue
But I feel each drop
This ground is smooth
But I feel each stone
Confused I can be
But not this time
My system of belief
Nonexistent
To those out there
It may indeed seem
Not true
I believe more than most
More than I should
I completely understand
Both the battle and the war
I understand who picked the fight
I know who will win
And who will lose
And truthfully
I am sure that is all
That matters most...
