13th Birthday Poetry
The Woodland Chapel

Only on a lonely path very far from everyone
A special place exists in the early morning sun

It has been there forever hidden by the trees
It calls believers to bend down upon their knees

The weather has not been kind to this sacred place
It has left peeling places and cracks upon its face

The mighty trees are tall above the lovely archway
Small pebbles lead your heart and soul along the way

There lays a simple plaque made so very long ago
Brings the visitors comfort before they have to go

May He guard and guide you whatever you do
May His loving protection be a blessing to you
