A somber, gloomy, yet enlightened poem, from a guy's perspective.
I might be a little crazy,
Fly in the pants, running
Perhaps I’m a wee bit lazy
With no street sense or cunning.

Never truly terrified,
But way too undeserving
An air that’s truly rarified
Ducking, not reserving.

I pause for sweet enlightenment
And rule my kingly grief –
But every sight adjustment
Is a new tree on that leaf.

No matter if I’m up or down,
Emotions can’t be real –
This blonde, brunette, or redhead town
Is stepping on my heel.

Joking helps to ease the pain
Of life I’m going through,
But with every white shirt ketchup stain
I know I’m surely due!

Mixing pretense with my life
Of blessed, kindly yearning,
Will surely lead to constant strife
But baby, I’m-a learning!
