A feeling of loss comes because we have been blessed in the past. I need to remember.
Within me is
A memory-shaped hole-
My life stretched by
What I have loved-
What I love still.
The hole is not empty
As it seems on dark days
When loss echoes
From such far distance.

No hole would be there
If you had not formed it
With the way your life
Fit mine for a time-
Entwined laughter
And dreams and tears-
Symbiotic.
I thought it would be forever-
And see:
It is.

Though you are gone
The Grace remains-
A hole in your shape
Filled with love.
