We watched "inside job" in Economics today. Some musings about that.
We watched part of "inside job", the movie narrated by Matt Damon, all about wall street, the US economy, and how it affects the economy of the whole world. My one question is: Where does all the money go? When a stock crashes, I'm assuming that means too many people lost faith in it and decided to pull out their money. But where does it go? Also, there were many mentions of deregulation and how companies and banks could be loaning out way more than they could- legally, and earning back money for that. Does the money just go into the brokers' pockets? If anyone out there has a possible answer, I really would like to know. For me, right now, I am envisioning money disappearing into a black hole. It perplexes me, when I think of what happens to my money once I let it go.
