A twisted poem based off my life experiences and my relationship with my mother.

The shame
This is no game
For your blame
Indeed I was born
And thus betrayed
What a terrible waste
A life not worth living
A chance not forgiven
Mother of this existence
Justifier of all strife
You held me to the flames
Oh how did I scream
I was and remain
In such terrible pain
No sympathy did you offer
Your heart
Ripe with empathy
Your chest
Full much lechery
You knew what you were doing
And you could never allow me
Your son made mistake
To forget what he had done
What you call your soul
Bottomless does it seem to go
You are incapable of loving me
And I
Am incapable of loving anyone
Not by choice but by condition
Every obvious truth
I have come to refuse
Because of one continuous lie
I have always done what I must
And will always do as such
Easily do I fake with the saints
I could never hope to escape
In this infernal prison I’ll waste
Deep in your mind as well as mine
A powerful disease continually grows
No therapy or intoxicating cocktail
Could ever save you and I
You have been doomed by fate
And I am doomed by you
For your blame
I have come to live my life this way
There is nothing less that I can do
I pretend as best that I can
I can be quite convincing if need be
But inside I know without question
That there is and will always be
An emotionless chasm unable to be filled
Absolutely nothing is what you gave me
It is mine even if and when nothing else is
I know that I could never be anything
Other than just like you
For your blame
I was born and have lived…
