Poem For 12 Days Of Christmas Writing. This is about turtledoves and a couple in love.
The woman was lonely in her big Victorian House.
It had belonged to her Great Grandmother and it was-
left for her in the will. She loved the house dearly but her family
lived two hours away and that was what she didn't like.

That wasn't the only part she didn't like about her life.
Her boyfriend was stationed in Germany and she wasn't
sure when she would see him again but she wished he could
be home with her because Christmas was just a few days away.

The tree and decorations were all out for Christmas. She was
trying very hard to get into the Christmas spirit because she had
always loved Christmas. That would never change or dampen her spirit.
A knock on the door and she went to answer it and she heard birds cooing.

She opened the door and there was a bird cage with two turtle doves.
How beautiful and precious! She hurriedly bought them in and found a
place to hang the cage. Where did they come from? Wait! There was a card.
"I love you and miss you. Hope you like your gift. Hope to see you soon Jeremy

She smiled and her heart felt light as air. Maybe he would be home for
Christmas after all. She petted the turtle doves. They reminded her of her
and Jeremy. It was a lovely gift. She e-mailed Jeremy and thanked him
and told him that she loved him and missed him, too.

The turtle doves cooed and she sat down to read a romance novel.
It had started snowing and was going to be a blizzard.
What can you expect in the state of Maine? It was winter.
The fireplace made the room nice and warm like a spring day.

She fell asleep and was awaken by a helicopter the next morning.
The door opened and in walked Jeremy! They embraced and kissed.
The turtle doves seemed to be kissing, too and it was cute and heart warming.
It was a great Christmas for Amanda. Jeremy was home for awhile.

Why did a helicopter bring Jeremy home? Why not? Great way to get home.
The turtle doves had a long and happy life together and so did my romantic couple.
Birds fall in love and two turtledoves would make a nice Christmas gift.
May we all have love and be happy this Christmas season!
