To expand on the unique qualities of the beautiful season known as Winter.
I sit here staring out my window
Enjoying the winter's treasures.
The wind tosses snowflakes around in the air
With beauty and grandeur of outstanding measures.

As the snowflakes prance upon the crisp morning air,
One can marvel at the complexity of each.
Every dainty young flake borne unto the frigid atmosphere
Attains infinitesimal designs of compelling beauty beyond reach.

I stare in awe of the winter's characteristics,
And I do not even see that I have marveled for so long a time.
Soon I realize that the windows have frosted,
Adding a crackled, frozen frame to the scenery, sublime.

As I touch my thin hand to the pure, spotless glass,
I shiver at its absence of heat.
I then pull my knees in close to my shoulders,
And feel the comfort unto me when my afghan and body meet.

I gaze upon my old, dusty grandfather clock
Only to see that it is half past ten.
A bit late to start off my day, I think to myself,
And I dazedly meander out of my den.

Oh, how a bit of coffee sounds delightful, indeed,
Accompanied by cream to balance the strength of my joe.
It is not quite distracting enough, though, to draw my attention away
From the winter wonderland just outside my window.

This season called 'Winter' is breathtaking in all dimensions
And gives me such chills of wintry mirth.
My favorite season of all, you see,
Begins at the winter's blissful birth.
