Keeping watch.
The Protector

Ebon lion,
eyes of gold--
The Protector.
watching over dreams,
ever vigilant.
Woman stirs, whimpers
as dark images
creep into sleep.
He growls low.
Nightmares fade into
shadows of fear.
Calming heartbeat,
she sleeps quietly
as The Protector
stands guard.
