do you hear what I hear? Do you know what I don't? A strange poem...

-A Simple Plan-

Scratching
Unlatching
A simple plan
Must be investigated
What’s that sound
Who made it
Should it be what
Seemingly matters not
Indeed I’ll ask why
I am not alone
Paranoia in bloom
Like a weed
Far beyond control
Pull it and it survives
Spray it and it won’t die
Invincibility for a time
Unknown
By me and myself
Shush
Did you hear it
Who, what, why is out there
Making those sounds
Frightening me
I pull the covers close
Shutting off the lights
In total darkness I’m safe
A simple plan
Often followed
Always lived
There it is again
Why isn’t it going away
Why hasn’t it become silent
I’m gonna have to get up
Leave the safety of this bed
Break the boundaries of my head
I have to know what’s out there
Beyond that door
Outside these walls
I have to know
Even if
What it could be
Is the end
Then again
A simple plan
Shush, there it is again
That sound I don’t understand
That noise to me is unfamiliar…
