Something that never quite got to where I wanted it to be. May revisit.
"Please"


However much I could beg you,
However much I could press you,
However much I could bend you,
However much I could squeeze you,
However much I could break you,
However much I could never do.


Please, I might ask, please don't go.
It's been dark and I've lost my eyes,
my ears, my heart and my soul.

You would call me a liar,
You would call me a leech,
You would call me a cannibal,

and I could only agree.
