This is a poem about those who are Individuals and being judged.
Together, we are Black.
We have all been absorbed,
For the fear of being different.

We have the ability to stand out.
We hide from it. We must blend.
To be different is to be an outsider.

Who wants to be White?
You'll be an outsider,
No, a Whitesider.

Whitesiders are queer. Odd.
You'll shine bright. Offbeat.
Instead of being favored, you're opposed.

You are: Good or Bad,
Right or Wrong,
Devine or Corrupt.

Do you head to the Self
Righteous? In the Black?
Or do you head for the
Otherwise? In the White?
