A moment, captured and preserved in the depths of time. No regrets, no judgements.
Your mesmerizing eyes stare into mine

You lean your head closer, and then closer still

Music is blaring all around us

People dancing, lights flashing

And in the midst of it all,

Like my very own contorted knight,

You save me from the darkness

Whilst pulling me deeper.

You kiss me, soft and sweet

Holding me so I don’t dissolve

Into nothingness

Back to where I came from

Flames of desire, licking.

Threatening to engulf me

And yet, you stay strong

Your mesmerizing eyes staring into mine
