A WOMAN'S STRENGTH AMIDST CHALLENGES AND ADVERSITY.

A Woman’s Vision

I was grown to be strong,
Is that so wrong?
I am woman,
Considered a weaken vessel, in the face of man,
I don’t want his place;
But where has he gone.

I wash, cook, clean
I even construct the house and paint it green.
Green signifies lush and prosperity,
Always I’ll stand, for integrity.

My worst nightmares are challenges
They’re everywhere; home, work, school, even social moments.
I learn to be calm in the midst of adversity,
Yet you see me as being ‘petty’.
Challenge is a dragon
Carrying a gift in its mouth,
Tame him and you’ll get it out.

I am made to believe I have a heart of silver,
But, I will not agree with the unbeliever.
Yes! It seemed a mistake to try to succeed,
Because this the way to fight,
to breathe

There are times I fear, their words and actions
would encapsulate me
Am I the only one who is able to see?

I have a vision
A vision to see, right being right
And wrong being wrong.
You say that I speak tough
But this is a good ‘bluff’.
Hate me!
Love me!
I have a vision and that’s enough.

I can’t change the direction of the wind you see,
But, I can adjust myself to reach my destination,
And this is no pre conception.
I have a heart of gold,
The world will see as is gradually unfolds.
