Lost words in a forgotten journal long to be set free. (Quatern Form)
Weathered Pages

The weathered pages stained with age,
Frozen lives and lost history.
Imprisoned letters trapped in time,
Cry of their joy and misery.

Much to tell, yet nothing to say,
The weathered pages stained with age.
Echoes and shadows barely there.
Silent voices on faded page.

Caressed by rain and howling wind,
Crumbled leaves and cracked leather spine.
The weathered pages stained with age,
Now lost to the slow march of time.

Keeper of lessons forgotten,
History’s memories now in a cage.
Long to be touched by human hands
The weathered pages stained with age.
