Be so cold
Frozen
Deeper still
Into your bones
Unable will you again be
To make any move
Unwilling will you be
To ever again try
Stuck in place
Your life
Oh so did it waste
You can do nothing
You cannot resist
You have no power
To act as before
Or forever more
While I can do everything
If you are as solid as ice
Then I am as wild as the flame
If you are immovable
Than I am free flowing
I can go where need be
You have no journey to take
No places or ideas to embrace
You are done and I am not
Be so cold
The human behind these eyes
The one so oddly seeing
The one so truly understanding
Of what has become of you and why
Knows that with you
And because of you
Every amazing idea
Comes into clearer view
Insanity transcends
Both time and real life
Like an itch behind my eye
Like a crack in my spine
Like every bad deed done
That I am unable to shake
What you gave me through creation
Is more part of me than anything
Clarity seems as if a God
My master of thought
And my king of logic
To you
Nothing is your only truth
Your one calling in the dark
Your one mountain
In the valley of your death
Be so cold
Be deceased
As dead as you are
I’d feel sorry if I could
But I cannot
I will say a prayer for you
After all I am no true heathen
I will honor your life with words
It’s the least that I can do
I will take what you did
And what you failed to do
I will make each lie a story
Told ever so convincingly
Those who read the lines
Will see you deep inside
Those who peruse the surface
Will find nothing to admire
Be so cold
Death it seems is a fitting end
Cruel is the kindest word
That I know and understand
I once called you mother
You once called me son
But that it turns out
Was more of a lie
Than any of this…
