Third Poem set, this time two serious ones and a funny one.
Conflict

Eyes convey depression,
while a smile hides her true expression.
Her mouth always trying for elation,
But her black pupils tell of damnation.
The truth hiding behind a mask,
and not a very good one at that.
Obvious conflict shows on her face,
when instead of a frown I see a smile in its place.

It Came Through the Back Door

I left the back door open
And I thought something had got in
so when I finally shut the door tight
I knew I had predicted right
and the thing that creeped in that night
well, It put up a good fight,
but I kicked it Through and through
when I squashed it with my gigantic boot,
Stomped and hit,
That's what I did.
And It limped as it crawled,
With only 15 legs left in all.
That's a mighty thing that I achieved,
when I fought the dangerous Centipede.

Eaten

I once knew happiness,
when I knew you;
But then you were consumed,
and I was too.
Even now,
I'm Gnawed on by Guilt,
and Swallowed by Sorrow.
The same today, as I will be tomorrow.
and Yet, the beast that eats at me most, is Regret,
for reasons which I, will never forget.
and day after day, I am eaten away,
by daemons I can scarcely keep at bay.
