This is a poem about getting in your own way and finding ways to trip yourself up.

The Clouds.

The mountains that range

in every sunset.

Obscuring the orange

as it fades all around us.

The dark blue dome of blackness.

Keeping the deoms from us all.

Protecting us,

Keeping us down.

My dreams bounce back

as they try

to fly

fly to the moon.

Remind me of life

and love

and everything i have to lose.

So I walk with blind precision

purpose.

Confident at times

in others i am lost

trapped inside

all the questions in my mind.

As time slips

round the dome

as black as the nothing

that lives in my heart.

A filter for everything

I wish to hold inside

My mind or my soul.

which do I answer to?

Alive I am told

I choose with cultured tones.

Burying these feelings

to fight another day.

My limiting factor

I dream

Will one day

slip away.

In time I will decide

I will not be denied.

helpful and useful

this change inside.

I fight off my nature

that is inside my mind.

Turn back to reflections

I wish to incline
