Inspired by ocean debris wash up while sitting at the beach
Dried Sea Grass

Lifeless and broken,
Dry and brown,
Lost my color
Before I was found.

Once I was a home
Protecting from evil.
Strong and nurturing
In nature was I.
Now, Fragile, Shattered,
With
Purpose to have.

Now mixed with
Litter, Shells, and Debris,
Children, adults, and animals that pee.

Through the tides
I come                    and
I        go
Waiting for High
And dreaming of Low.

No home is for me
As I drift through
The world on
Changing tides
