A poem for my Aunt Pearl when she passed.
The Pearl Dancer

Graceful movement, flowing and beautiful

Every motion has a plan, a purpose

Coming together with poetic beauty

Captivating and wonderful to behold

Complicated and simple working together

To create something so magical

Flexible in ways unknown

Sensual in ways unheard of

Smooth and fluid

So wondrous and enveloping

Yet so temporary and fleeting

Something that was pure pleasure

While the movement was still possible

With age came a great pain, stealing the grace

Yet positivity and love continued to flow thru

But now she is gone

Hearts are broken, but filled with peace

For she is free to move with grace yet again…
