Nothing remains the same, so treasure every moment you have.
Flowers bloom birds die
Sycamore stretches limbs to the sky

First a smile then a snarl
Then a frown turns to a growl

Babies born boys grow to men
Men run slower then not at all

Bodies burn into ash
Soil gives life all again

Once you learn you will see
And treasure everything

Thanks for flower’s scarlet color
Bird’s melody and tree’s cool shade

frowns that bring you down
and smiles that lift your heart high

the smell of baby skin
baby powder and fruity newness

friendships and falling in love
power in an old man’s mind

everything is joined
and nothing remains the same

treasure every little thing
for nothing is ever promised
