Is love from the past carried on to the future?
Close and warm, we lay together kissing on the shore.
There were dim memories of times we had met before.
Like flowers, each time love blooms within us, shy and new,
Brightly shining in the sunlight with drops of morning dew.

Those petals now so close to me, so scented and so fair,
Such sweet essence, their flowers do our pain repair,
Old affairs, broken hearts, sleepless nights are healed. Past
To present flows onward to the future with our spirits fast.

Beside you, I hear your breathing and dreaming in the night,
All is so familiar, been there many times before. Feels so right,
The shared in-jokes, familiar laugh. The instant that we met
Many things we know are shared but proof we cannot get.

I sense your sweet scent in the air beside me once again.
My heart goes thump, and it is the same feelings I retain,
Filled with aching longing to feel your touch once more,
So happy, how long have I missed you and felt so very sore.

Does the past remain in existence always for anyone to see?
We two like twins, together drawn towards the future, thee and me.
New trust, new hope and fresh love in the middle of the throng.
Dear heart, Dear Heart, we must stay, grow, go on and be strong.
