A Free Verse for the Poetry Harvest
Glory

The glory of war
is not found
in those that we kill
but in the ones
we cause to survive.

The honor
to battle for freedom
is not easily seen
by those who hunt
for an available potato.

Therefore be
a friend to the widow
an aid for the orphan
and ever respectful
of the dead and dying.
