Sometimes, the one closest to you lets you down.
I thought we would have dinner...
We made that special reservation, remember?
Time ticks by though and I grow thinner.
It all fell apart at the end of that numbing December.

We were going to eat the world.
But then you abandoned your vow.
Our vessel suddenly sank and our sail never unfurled.
So I now stand by myself, with a cold plate at the tip of the bow.

Regardless, I'll take this sunken ship and crown myself the captain; I'll make it my own.
I'll tenaciously navigate myself through Hell.
I do not need a queen alongside my throne.
My magic is still strong, so I'll cast my own spell.

I'll voyage through the fires, devouring everything in sight.
I'll sail up from under this sea, straight into the ripened sky.
After I'm done, this ark will most certainly know the definition of height.
It is my choice not to drown and my passion to fly.

My heart and bones may have been beaten by stick and stone.
But that's not stopping me - I'm going to eat this world, even if I'm dining alone.
